When we were kids, we saw these games as more than games.
Sure, they were electronics, no pokemon were actually in the cartridge, but the game had somewhat of a life of it's own.
For example, when you got to glitch city, we believed we were ACTUALLY reaching a new area, an area that may or may not have been created by the programmers. We believed that if we hopped a ledge, or jumped over an unmoveable obstacle, we could find new places, and new pokemon.
The Gameshark crushed many of those dreams of course. Jumping that ledge meant a freeze, not a whole new world.
Some part of that spirit that believed still lives in many of us. It's why we love pokemon creepypasta, they fulfill that.
Now the problem is, many of us aren't dumb fucks. "Hyper-realistic blood" doesn't fool many. Having the game render out your name and being "posessed" break the barrier of what is believable and ruin the story.
I'd like to write a pokemon creepypasta for us adults, for those jaded readers.
So I ask you, what do you think? What's terrible, what's great in a creepy story about a video game?
PokeCreepy general too I suppose.
