The problem with Gen 7 aren't the speed stats themselves, but which Pokemon they were given to. They just don't make sense. If Gen 7 was made of rhinos, elephants, turtles, boars, etc, it would be ok for the Dex to be that slow. But it's kind of ridiculous to do this with an owl, a tiger, a toucan, a mongoose, a mantis, and some others. Even Komala outspeeds most of the Dex.
