It's not a hack you play for the story (which is just almost unchanged FireRed with an extra "stop Team Rocket in Cave" episode) or anything like that, it's a pure test of Pokémon autism in the best way. Every boss battle is fun. I also like a lot of the balance changes and even recent QoL stuff like the shittier 90-95 accuracy moves (like Ice Fang) being made 100%, so it's only the more powerful moves like Fire Blast etc. that have the expected accuracy/power trade-off.
The only people complaining about it are bad at Pokémon or they made the mistake of not playing on Minimal Grinding mode.
