I think it's because the proportions are satisfyingly compact, and the colors have that unique oddly muted tone. Plus the strong highlights from Ken Sugimori's watercolor art is like the special sauce that makes it stand out.

Gamefreak fucks up their own dungeons. Same Pokemon, same tileset, same puzzles... they make it completely boring, maybe even not worthwhile, to explore such complex dungeons. And then they assume kids are just too dumb for complex dungeons and move onto only making linear paths through the amusement park of a region.

I'm looking for more information on this work-in-progress. I think that it's being developed by a Discord user called Arex, but I don't have the ID number. I also looked up that it's built using RPG Maker XP and/or Pokémon SDK, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any more information about this, a twitter account for this dev, etc? It all just looks fantastic and I'd like to keep tabs on it, or download if/when available.
