In the Dynamax trailer, Hop uses two Pokemon in your first battle. This appears to be your first battle, as your starter has defeated one Pokemon and is Level 6 whereas Hop's weaker starter is Level 5.
My theory is that Hop has both as he's delivering one to Bede, and Bede is only shown with Duosion as he doesn't get his starter and fight you until its evolved.
