-if you didn't draw a pokemon you redraw your hand and your opponent draws an extra card
-both you and your opponent flip over your active pokemon and reveal them
-you flip a coin and call heads/tails winner goes first or decides who does
-each turn you draw a card, choose to attach an energy to a pokemon, play basic (not evolutions) pokemon to your bench up to a capacity of five, and you play trainer cards, a limit of one supporter card
-if you have enough energy on an active pokemon you can attack which ends your turn, if pokemon on your bench have abilities they can activate, if one of your attacks is an EX move then you flip a token/keep track of having used it once per match and only one pokemon once
-when a pokemon gets knocked out the one who did it draws one of their prize cards, and the player who lost their active pokemon moves a pokemon from the bench to the active area
-the game is over if you run out of cards in your deck, someone draws all their prize cards, or after a mulligan at the beginning you still don't have a basic pokemon in your hand to lay into your active territory or if later on in the game you run out of active pokemon
