I'm a 28 year old man. Like many of you here I grew up playing Pokemon. I was obsessed when I was a kid, I even got teased in high school for liking it. I loved the world, the characters, the gameplay. My favorite games were and will always be Platinum, HGSS and BW2. When the games transitioned to 3D I was excited. I played many hours of XY and ORAS, breeding, battling online. I had a blast. With Sun and Moon though something started to feel different. They felt uninspired, empty. They're decent games but I thought older games had more charm and better features. I could only finish the main story, same with USUM which was even worse. I didn't even bother with the online features, the plaza was a huge step down from the PSS system. Since then, every new Pokemon game released hasn't interested me at all. SWSH felt lazy: no National Dex, Megas were gone. Let's Go just didn't appeal to me at all. Didn't even bother to pirate them. Something changed last year though: The Bump of Chicken videoclip hit me hard with nostalgia. I remembred all the good times I had with the franchise. I realized I did truly love Pokemon.
