XY (and Z) already perfected the artstyle, there was no need to diverge from that.
I'm saying that none of the girls really have that trademark "sex pokegirl" appeal because of the nu artstyle shift. They literally don't look like Pokegirls.

Also, the reveal of Riko's dad was....underwhelming. He's supposedly an artist but he lacks the charisma and sophistication that other artists had in the anime like Tracey or Latias.
