Bowser has been dropkicking and bombing opponents since Smash 4, now you have the same, but with more flair: Even in the motions, these two just share a lot
That being said I'll agree that there wasn't much to do with Gen 7 in terms of rep that isn't obscure or bad: The 2 other starters for example would probably just as bad if not worse.
