Who wants info on the Generation 8 of Pokemon?
Hey everyone, so basically, I'm gonna preface this by saying that this is information that was given to me by someone I know that I don't necessarily know whether to trust or not (kind of the type of person that does stuff for attention) but he has worked on games before, namely in data configuration (not on pokemon though), and he says that this is what he heard from people working on the game now:
-The games are called Pokemon Dawn and Pokemon Dusk and they are set in Greece/Italy.
-The region is going to feel very old, traditional and full of history. Even though it feels a lot like Alola, it is going back to a gym system but there are going to be main story challenges different than gyms.
-There is one legendary per type and an extra one that has a weird typing system (no more information). Some of them are going to be based on mythology (Zeus=Electric, Poseidon=Water, Ares=Fighting, etc) but some of them will be unique. Each one of them is represented by a specific animal though.
-The mascot of the games are a Fire Wolf and a Dark Deer. The Fire Wolf is the pokemon for Dawn and represents Apollo while the Deer is the Pokemon for Dusk and represents Artemis.
-The starters are an Elephant for the grass type who grows to have more hair and "crystal-like" tusks with an ice typing added. He looks a bit like a mammoth at the end with flowers blooming on him. A snake for the fire type (scarlet back and white underbelly) who gets more defined scales, feathers and at the last evolution, arms. He becomes a dragon type. Finally, the water starter is a flamingo with blue and pink features. He evolves into a water-fighting type using his legs to kick everything around.
-Customization is coming back with more items than ever with the possibility of DLCs releasing more items at some point.
I have a lot more info (professor, story, other legends, evil team, etc.) whenever you guys want but i reached my limit, (just ask away.)
