How would you change/fix pokemon if you got to be the designer for the next game? For me, I would:
-remove EVs
-make natures only have a positive effect, because getting the negative effect on the "wrong" stat triggers the shit out of me
-all egg moves can now be learned from a tutor, similar to other moves you can't get from level-up. costs money.
-you can now see the expected damage of a move in the opponent's HP bar before you use the move
-moves now have a "quickness" stat, base 100, which together with the user's speed stat determines the actual speed of the move (like how damage is influenced by both move power and user attack stat)
-accuracy and evasion are now pokemon stats
-move accuracy now no longer has % values, but instead has 6/3, 5/3, 4/3, 3/3, 3/4 and 3/5 or 3/6 chance to hit
-make abilities more unique and useful in combat, while getting rid of "hidden abilities"
-add a newgame+, where after you become champion, you can start a new game where every pokemon trainer has increased levels on their pokemon (+1 level in start area, +2 around first gym, +3 around 2nd gym, etc). all your current pokemon are transferred to the new file, but will be locked until you become the champion again.
-every trainer can be re-matched every 24 hours
