Somehow a dive ball worked on him, how I got so lucky I'll never know. I traded for the Aeigslash immediately and then ran to the elite four to level him (i didn't know where the poke miles seller was at the time, if I did this would have went so much easier). I flashed through the elite four as fast as I could, checking to see if my beloved sun was still waiting for me, he was, and somehow I had convinced myself this must be fate. It was 4am and for some reason I was talking to myself to stay awake for my sun. I was sounding like Solaire in my head by this time.
After the elite four, he was still 2 levels away from 91. So after the credits I went over to victory road, specifically inside the first cave, and did my best to level him. Running back and forth in that cave I worked and worked, in a panic that after all of this my beloved sun would not still be there, that all of this, would be for nothing and I'd been seen as a laughing stock.
As soon as 91 was reached I ran onto the GTS and my sun was still waiting for me. I gave him my sword and the moment that beautiful sun graced my screen I hugged the 3DS, it took 4 hours of Zapdos chasing, grinding, and trading but he was mine, all mine. He has perfect IVs in attack and defense and the perfect nature too.
I took pictures of him with my camera, all to save the moment. Also as fitting, I could see the sun rising as I went to bed watching my beautiful sun on the 3DS. As silly was it was, in that moment, I could really see Solaire's love for the sun. Ah if only I could be so grossly incandescent...
