As a potential new collector I have a few quesitons:
- how liquid is the secondary market? Do rare cards sell quickly or does it take months/years? Are only 10 grades in demand or do raw cards also sell fast? No offense but Pokemon looks like a seller market, everyone wants to sell and only a handful of people want to buy, the prices all look infated. Am I wrong?
- how big of a role does language play in the value? Compared to Magic it seems to me that non-English cards on Cardmarket have a much higher value, sometimes equal to the English one or higher, is that legit or are these people just delusional?
- what is the market like in Europe? Any significant differences compared to America?
- compared to Magic it seems like cards are valuable more because of the art (and rarity) rather than their gameplay powerlevel, what exactly are the factors that determine the value of a card? What are fan favourites elements (other than Charizard)?
Not really into CGI, I like traditional art, stuff like Beauty Looking Back or Galarian Moltres. Any recommendations on new cards with interesting art that are still relatively cheap that are bound to go up?
I still have some of my old cards in good condition too, these are the highlights I imagine.
