the post game meme has always been laughable, i never do shit like battle mansion, battle frontier, battle tree, they're straight up trash.
if the time when substantial post game content actually comes then i'll give a shit.
as of now the only things that matter in pokemon are having a good looking set of desirable new pokemon (which gen 5 doesn't have), a good region and main story (which gen 5 doesn't have, unova is factually the most bland and worthless region we've ever gotten), some semblence of difficulty even if it takes you having to nuzlocke the game to get that (gen 5 games are the easiest game in the series, even when nuzlocking), good music and finally a good online system (which gen 5 lacked as well).
gen 7 had a shit online system after the perfection that was gen 6's PSS but everything else was stellar.
by the time i get to post game in any pokemon game it never holds my attention and all i'd rather do at that point is battle online or do another nuzlocke run.
