>>12582797They chirped in rhythm, one group chirping after the other.
The hook began twirling around, and then it evolved into harsh spinning. After enough power was generated, the hook shot out into the sky, and soon, off the island.
While the Fletchlings kept reeling in, the rest of us headed down to the beach in order to overlook their progress. The clouds separated, allowing us to see the island of Glavacados down below.
The hook latched onto the lower island's mountain, and as soon as it had done that, the Fletchlings had upped their game. They put in all of their strength, and forcibly reeled as hard as they could.
It seemed like a worthless effort, the logic of it all didn't even make sense. How the hell could they plan something this far into advance? It's..It...I had no logical explanation.
Against all odds, the island was dislodged from its position, being tethered into the sky by the hook, and
"FLETCH!"
"LING!"
"FLETCH!"
"LING!"
"FLETCH!!!"
"LING!!!"
Each bird gritted his teeth, going insane with their strength, anymore and they risked dislodging the levers from their place.
"FLETTTTTTTTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH!"
"LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNG!"
Glavacados was getting closer and closer, I feared that at any moment the cable could just simply rip into two, but it didn't happen. Let me tell you, it got pretty damn close though.
Before we knew it, Glavacados was right next to us, and a final tug from the Fletchlings connected it to Avoguanos.
The reeling stopped, the hook was retracted, we were eager to see if the birds were okay, so we hastily made our way back to them.
