I'm not a very competitive pokémon player - I vomit Smogon - but I like to have a team that can handle its own beyond the NPC trainers, and I like to have a unique team each game that I form mostly on whims.
In X/Y my team was pretty great against strangers no matter how many legendaries they crammed in theirs, it helped that I ended up with a Garchomp, a Togekiss and the excellent surprise Hawlucha.
This time around I'm struggling a lot to pull off even 5 wins, it doesn't help that the legendaries are pretty god damn overkill in OR/AS (looking at you, Rayquaza) so much so that even children having no idea what they're doing end up beating me.
However my picks were not so lucky to begin with and my team needs a lot of work.
The only good find is a god-sent totodile in wondertrade.

Gardevoir
Skarmory
Whimsicott
Ninetales
Linoone
Obviously Linoone, the HM slave / garbage picker needs to go but I also intend to ditch Gardevoir who I already used recently.
It'd help a lot if you had any suggestions.
I often regret not having a single electric move and I sure could use more fighting ones, those are my personal concerns after a couple of fights.
