The reason why I like Nidoqueen, even as a kid, is because it's just incredibly strong and cute to boot. It has access to all sorts of moves, it's a monster straight out of Godzilla, what's not to love?
I always felt I resonated most with Dark, a lot of my favorite Pokemon are of that typing, though second place would go to Electric.
