Hert = Centre (as in Centre of Person(Heart) or Centre of Community(City)
Gald = Gold
Gald ib Hert is translated as 'City of Gold'.
Later translated as 'Heart of Gold' and discovered to have agency (i.e. a Living Heart of Gold). This is understood to be a mythical Golden Pokemon.
In reality, it means 'Gold of Heart' and refers to the greedy whose centre is consumed by the desire for gold. This represents Xotec, the Pokemon that personifies Greed.
Obviously the words I used can be made into something more fancy but it's a nice little idea that isn't often seen. Translating ancient languages is difficult because it's rare for words to map directly onto modern understanding. Hell, it's hard enough translating between modern languages for the same reason. The only difference is, you can ask someone who speaks that language.
All this stuff needn't be directly in the game but it's a cool little background detail. In my opinion, anyway.
