Most of the time, removing the highlighted part will enable debugshit on whatever, in this case, this would unlock the debug option on the party menu
Personally, I ctrl+shift+F 'if $DEBUG' and just remove shit like the menu debug, party debug, walk through walls, and 100% catchrate and that's basically everything you ever use debug for
Newer fangames tend to seperate the scripts from the actual script file to edit them one by one, though I think this is more annoying for me personally, you can usually just use Visual studio instead
