Probably gonna trade-in all my 3DS Pokemon carts and get a refurbished DSlite with the GBA slot so I can fully enjoy the cross-gen compatibility of III-V and I'll enjoy Gens I & II separately with Pokemon Stadium. It's gonna be pretty comfy, and I won't be so enraged by how shitty each latest installment is. You should all join me.
That being said, SM is slightly better than XY at least. THAT being said, the online features are now ruined, so I guess maybe XY was better convenience-wise? I don't fucking know. Fuck it.
I'll still watch the anime just to shitpost here with you guys, of course. If Pokemon does one thing right, it's make extremely qt female characters.
