Even if that were true, one third of 19.5 billion is fucking 6.5 billion dollars which I would have to imagine is so much more than a lot of smaller companies combined, and this is assuming they get ZERO money from merch, cards, movies, etc.

There's no place on this earth that a billion dollars isn't enough to make AAA video games and yet we can't even get games on par with niche JRPGs. Defend this, shills.

Blatant, not subtle, only service one kind of fan, take the place of something that should have been unique to whatever game that was. Bad example of fanservice include
>Alola only having Kanto alt forms
>the Kantonian gym in the Alola city that was based around Johto
>Leon's ace being a Charizard instead of a Pokemon from Galar
>getting a second set of Kanto starters in XY for no real reason other than Kanto

The common thread of bad references is the ONLY service fans of Kanto/Charizard. If you're a fan of Gen 2, 3, 4,5, 6 or 7 you get absolutely nothing from the list of bad references. People's issue with Charizard isn't Charizard itself, but rather the fact that there are tons of other Pokemon left to the wayside so we can have Charizard X, Charizard Y, G-Max Charizard, Charizard's anime special, Charizard as a ride Pokemon, etc.

And? Each new gen introduces less and less Pokemon, assuming we get about ~80 to 100 Pokemon, that's still SIGNIFICANTLY less than having to do 800 Pokemon+forms. The majority of work is already completed and HAS been completed for a number of years now.

THEY ALREADY DID THIS IN X/Y. Why are you acting like this is the first Pokemon game in 3D? The vast, overwhelming majority of the models, animations and overall work has been completed for over 7 years now and all they need to do is either update or add onto the work they've already done, which is a massively smaller workload than fucking creating everything from scratch.
