>>38344518Well since the timing is so perfect, lemme hit you with some autism. I’ve been practicing lucid dreaming for some years now, and last night I found myself on the edge of a lake with a group of people. As we approached the water, the tide would shrink away from us. The group leader instructed us all to take all our stuff out of our pockets and take off everything but your bottom layer of clothes. Then we all stepped onto the lake, and instead of the water shrinking away, we were able to walk on it.
This is where I realized it was a dream, and to the person next to me, I commented “ah, my starter Pokémon just spawned” and he laughed and agreed, saying he was hoping for a Nidoran. In this extremely subtle way I changed the entire dream to be about Pokémon now, which is fucking hard to do — this was my first success, I’ve only had two other Pokémon dreams and I couldn’t influence them at all.
We gathered in the center and the group leader now told us to hold hands and that our starter Pokémon would come and find us. As we were joining hands, one of the others hesitated, and looking down at their feet through the lake, said “there’s no way this can be possible”. I looked at him and said “actually, this is the ONLY place that it can be possible”.
And I fucking woke up, and blew my chance at seeing my starter Pokémon. But I guess the moral of my very autistic story is, try lucid dreaming? It’s a lot of practicing, but hey, I technically entered the world of Pokémon, just for a second last night. And there’s really no other way to do it.
