I have posted this before, but:
-Shedinja (shouldermon): I can't think of something great related to exploration that this guy can serve for, but it's my favorite pokemon, so Shedinja is a must.
-Torterra: I'd love the idea of sitting on its back under the shadow of its tree while we travel quietly through a forest in a hot summer day. Total bro in my opinion.
-Glaceon: I like the idea of petting that cute thing and probably would help me to not get lost in a blizzard when I explore snowy mountains.
-Lapras: when I'm tired of swimming in the water routes I'd just chill on its back. Perfect for water routes as I'm a really really bad swimmer.
Lanturn: very helpful when I'm exploring dark submarine caves and the like in the water routes. It would keep an eye on me while I swim.
Lampent: chill guy to have some good "freehand" mobile light at night explorations, a great source of fire for camping and the like, and being a ghost I guess Lampent would be able to phase through matter which is always useful when exploring things like ruins, etc.
