Not only does it make hatching eggs leagues faster, but if the karp doesn't land on that 1/8th female chance, you can at least convert it into another shiny on your wishlist.
While the validity of time spent shiny hunting is already questionable, do you realize how much MORE of your time you waste by not just hatching karps?
