Percival slotted his team members' pokeballs into the League's healer.
He took only a cursory glance at the former champion's expression.
Irritation...
One look at his outfit gave Percival the answer as to why that was. But he still hadn't expected such a reception.
And yet, the champion's own reaction to his victory didn't matter.
Because he'd won.
He and his Pokémon had won.
His newfound friends, whom he'd gone through so much. His close and important allies, without whom he'd never have gotten here.
Their names would echo in the halls of history for all eternity.
Felix, Cory, Vanya...
Alpha would have joined them, too, had its ball been properly configured for the League's machines. Alas, the technology was too new for Alpha to be properly enshrined. (However, Alpha itself didn't seem to mind.)

Percival couldn't help but feel slightly grim.
There were so many other mon of his that deserved a spot here.
The Galactic grunt turned back to his
Arceus.
He spoke only a few words, with nothing but a soft smile accompanying them.
"...I've won the bet."

And so, once the formalities were well and truly done, Percival was met with the sight of Dialga and Palkia. The pair of legendary beasts, one more summoned atop Mount Coronet, quickly got to work once Alpha commanded them to.
It took very little time at all for them to do their work...
...and once it was complete, Percival was unable to hold back his emotions for much longer. He began to tear up, just a little.
"...welcome home, friends."
