But the thing about the fixed damage move is that they DID give it a fixed damage move: Bide. All they had to do was remove tackle from Brock's Onix and replace it with harden or something, and bam, you'd be good to go. Even if they were just not thinking things all the way through (as was the case for many features in gen 1), I'm completely baffled that in soon-to-be nine generations they've never given him a buff. That other anon who said Onix should have Steelix's stats and Steelix should have Mega Steelix's stats was spot on.
