Holiday sales are going to be high, it's the holidays and they're Pokemon games
What matters is what happens between the first week and holidays, but far more AFTER the holidays. We probably won't know how well these games are actually doing until January. Before then they're going to sell pretty well pretty much no matter what, as pretty much everybody that seriously wants to get them will probably do so within this timeframe. After that general sales will drop, but the degree to which they drop is extremely important in predicting long-term trends.
