As far as I can see, the single valid criticism that can be levied against the crown is that lack of oversight on alchemy practice lead to not only the Azoth situation but also the autism between the hunters and witches that's made traversing certain sections of the kingdom very hazardous. That's to say, nothing that warrants a revolution and probably could be solved by allocating more Gogoats and Aegislashes to Canola and her men.
