>>47582961I wiped to a Rocket grunt's Sandslash in Celadon because I made the very poor decision of putting three mons in the box and not replacing them, which left me with half a team with no means to take on a Sandslash. I restarted the game and wiped to Gary immediately. After that second blunder, I went through the game and got the same exact team as I had the last time. The only change was catching Jörmungandr on Route 4, who I then used to defeat Surge.
On Route 10 I find an important addition to my team in Chernobyl the Voltorb (now Electrode). Later on in Celadon City, I defeat my previous run-ender and then I challenge on the Team Rocket boss. Giovanni isn't much of a challenge, as none of his Pokemon know any ground type moves, which would pose a threat to my team. I take him out with Jörmungandr.
Erica's gym is ridiculously easy. Tengen Toppa takes out the Victreebell with ease and then uses the Tangela to evasion spam. Vileplume couldn't land a hit on Beedrill and gets taken out.
At this point I decided that I wanted to catch a Dewgong, which I can only do at the Seafoam Islands, which has some other potential encounters I'd like to avoid. To do so, I started fishing around Kanto to find the mons that will increase my chances of getting a Dewgong. I started nearing the box limit, so I released some Pokemon. I made their pictures transparent to highlight the change.
Mons used in rotation: Wilfred the Raticate, Rogen the Gloom, Wingdings the Pidgeotto
