Contest were shit because they designed it around the appeal-rounds of the ORAS-Counterpart. Reducing it to a Seperate Branch was a questionable decision. But maybe they didn't consider the possibility of simply giving Lisia another pokemon?
Either way, One episode did Serena nothing short of but just absolute justice with her new design, improved attitude and confidence. Her giving Koharu pointers because she also was in her shoes plus the way she used the advices Ash gave her was a great touch to the overall companionship as well. She has become all that she aspired be like Aria, giving strength and smiles to everyone, with it also delivering the words from her last episode of her becoming a much more charming woman.
The Wallace Cucking would have been better if he wasn't defeated off-screen, plus that line from Ash really really cemented that feeling of luck-luster hype between him and Wallace.
The contest lives again were shit. And even the animation on them feels really mediocre except for Lisia and Serena.
Otherwise at the end, Chloe and Serena having a great bonding moment over the events of the day, and over Ash's advice, which would have been more funny to reveal to Koharu from what her position and opinion is of him.
