I'm gonna have to say 'yes'. It was my early years of gaming and Pokemon Red was my first of all time next to Wario Land 2. I played it a shit ton as well as Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, was young enough to still enjoy the anime and played with its toys in kindergarten.
It was probably the most immersed I'd ever been in a franchise, next to the early WoW era.
