First off, thanks Archivist for adding Merry's short story to the pastebin. I promise to keep pumping out stuff as long as I get the chance to do so.
Second, REALLY wonderful April Fools prank, gookmoot. Seriously, I am dying of laughter here.
Third... well, shit.
You know what? I think the best anyone can do here is to move on and continue putting out content that gets people engaged with the threads and lets them keep having fun. I'll start by introducing a second OC that I plan to introduce in Merry's story at some point, still figuring out how.
Her name's Rosetta. She's a Hoennian-born travelling trainer with a passing interest in jewelry appraisal who belongs to a certain renowned, wealthy family, but she's not in the immediate succession line so she's mostly allowed to do whatever. Peppy and outgoing, with a fascination for rocks of any type (the rounder the better), her biggest defect is a lack of tact despite having no ill intentions. Additionally, she may not treat her Pokemon badly, but she appears to regard them more as collectibles than true partners.
Her team includes Nosepass, Roggenrola, Carbink, Alolan Geodude, Rolycoly and Nacli, with only the first one coming from her homeland. Her reserve team includes regular Geodude, Lunatone/Solrock, Bonsly, Minior and Glimmet.
My idea for the most part is present her as a foil to Merry: optimistic, from a good background and with the freedom to live life according to her whims but without a real drive to do more with herself or to bring out the best in her Pokemon. The kind of person who's comfortable enough with their life that they don't feel like doing anything else with it, in sharp contrast to someone who still has a fighting spirit in spite of life trying to grind them down into just another cog in the machine.
Anyway, now is the part where I ask you guys what you think to get a nicer discussion going.
