Born to a trainer desiring to enter the competitive league, Olwen was the latest in a series of eggs bred for perfect IV's. Unfortunately, one of her older siblings was the perfect specimen, so she was left in the hands of the Day Care couple with several unborn siblings, all given away to trainers passing by until she was given to Alan to care for. After hatching, she imprinted on the two closest party member, Alan and Chris, as her father and brother. Due to one of her parents being a Ditto that was previously used to breed Kangaskhan, Olwen has the ability to use Dizzy Punch.
>The group passed through Ilex Forest quickly, stopping only when they're beset by a flock of Hoothoot led by Kaebora, Gaebora's father. An arguement breaks out between the two that ends in Gaebora's disownment and banishment. Logan's raging flames allow the group passage to route 34 and Goldenrod City.
