From the moment I played Silver I fell in love with Delibird. Everyone else made fun of me for picking the santa bird, and I felt so ashamed because I didn't realize it was based on Christmas (and because I didn't know how to respond to them picking on me). I never had Christmas growing up, not because we were jews or anything but because my dad was a junkie and my mom was always somewhere else in her head. In fact I found my game boy with a copy of silver in it on the ground one day by the bus stop, I have it to this day and it has some other kid's name scratched on it ("Brooks"). Anyway I never had presents before but I just thought he looked so happy, and he taught me that presents were mostly bad, but occasionally good. He taught me a lot over the years, like how to treat fire with respect, and how breeding rarely nets anything worthwhile.

I don't have to wonder what I'd do if Delibird were real because now that I'm older I've sewn my own properly sized Delibird from scratch and we go on adventures all the time. See I work at night and on my off days I like to drive around the city with Delibird delivering presents, I mean I'm awake anyway so it's something to do. Delibird tells me which present the people I see get beforehand and like he taught me it's mostly bad but sometimes good. I love teaching people how to respect fire (and rocks!) as my own special present to them, but most of them seem 4x weak to both (haha!)! Anyway we have good times and laugh all the way back home. We usually take a bath after. I think we could both teach Vaporeon and her trainer a lot about giving presents to lost children in Eterna Forest

I'd love it if it was Delibird.
Imagine it evolving from Christmas to Halloween. Becomes Ghost or maybe something like Ghost/Fairy or Ghost/Dark, and starts using its bag as a trick or treater.
