male Gardevoir, the source of the barrier, made itself visible as the strikes failed short of their mark.
"Didn't anyone ever teach you that it's impolite to attack people when they're talking?" said Cain, changing his voice to a tone more suitable for speaking with a small child.
His left hand he withdrew from the pocket of his pants, his handheld firmly grasped. Across the keypad his fingers flew, issuing an unseen command to the mothership above.
"Deus Ex Machina, this is Cain. Ground is clear, we are go for launch. I repeat, ground is clear, we are go for launch."
The clouds parted, revealing the massive aerial battleship that had ferried Cain and his toys from Europe all the way to Sinjoh. Six shapes could be seen flying away from the warship, landing on the ground with a great crash, kicking up a flurry of snow where they landed.
