If you dont know, Mercury steam was tasked with making a remake of metroid samus returns as a test run and ended up making Metroid Dread. Samus returns was by all accounts passable but sorely lacking. ILCA has demonstrated they can create a pokemon game using old assets with a new engine just like mercurysteam did. Dread was leagues better than samus returns and is basically an instant classic.
