I definitely concede to your point. As you said, that might be the case for Meltan too. Whatever greater idea it is meant to convey might explain its disjointed design. I will try to be open-minded as we learn more about it. I regret the reactionary wording of my first post.
However, Meltan doesn't reflect the design philosophy the series has followed for the most part, or the guidelines mythical designs have generally followed, which still concerns me. I'm still wary about the upcoming generation, but I suppose we will all have to wait and see.
