>>54528319I don't really feel bad about taking Ogerpon from him because regardless of if the MC was there or not, Ogerpon probably wouldn't want to go with him regardless. Kieran only liked Ogerpon based on the image he already had of her 1v3ing the trio, not who she was beyond that. He didn't want to spend any time with her and get to know who she actually is, instead running off to tell the town that the version of the legend that he believed in was always true. Hell, he never even referred to her by her name Ogerpon, he only called her "The Ogre." He never liked Ogerpon, only the powerful legend who could defeat anyone who stood in its path. Ogerpon would be miserable with him, as he proved time and time again that he only cares about his own feelings.
Though while I think the MC taking Ogerpon was justified, I do agree that lying to him and ditching him to hang out with his sister was kind of a dick move.
But I think watching characters go insane is hot and based so I don't feel too bad about it.
