IRL you have weird shit like man-o-wars which are pretty much animals filled with poisonous gas (CO anyone?), worms that can reach 60 meters in length and then there's abyssal fauna that looks straight out of Lovecraft. There are unicellular organisms (that don't congregate) that can grow to 10-20 centimeters! There are bone-eating worms at the bottom of trenches. There were animals that looked like a mix between a gorilla and a horse.
He should just say "This is what I WANT pokemon to look IRL".
