We don't need a new stadium game because all pokemon are now in 3D and the novelty of using our gameboy carts on N64 to go from handheld sprites to 3D consoles doesn't exist anymore. There's no crazy contrast, it would just look the fucking same cause its the standard now.
Since Gen 4, mainline games have just been adding the features in end-game content, and just do everything these games did, minus the mini-games.
Making a new stadium game would be like selling a $60 mainline game without story and ability to capture pokemon, and you damnwell know they wont do another Pokemon Colosseum story.
At least Pokemon Snap offered a unique experience, just fucking play showdown or something if you want a battle sim.
