I've always had a collection since I liked the fantasy art, but I never knew how to play MtG until like 3 years ago. Commander is a fantastic format but I get salty in-person when the only person playing blue always wins. I usually buy cards relevant to a strategy, not really a collection per se, since the good cards get played. I put all my sick foils like Sterling Grove and No Mercy sleeved up so I can flex. As far as collecting... One day I want to make a binder of all the most brutal sadistic old school "satanic" artstyle Magic cards. It would be rly expensive tho last I checked.
