It made sense why there was carryovers from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh as those are all technically the same island, and Unova had a wholly unique ecosystem (until they retconned it because everyone cried about not finding pikachu in route 1), but ever since Kalos its the same creatures occupying the same niches. I get the giveaway mons like Charizard and Pikachu from events or ingame trades and the like, but there's no reason why Pikachu lives in the same place as Dedenne, or why Caterpie, Weedle and Wurmple live in the same place as Scatterbug. Granted, in Alola those pokemon were said to have been imported and even adapted to certain climates in Alola via regional variants, and it makes sense as Alola is a very tourist heavy region. But why am I finding Crabrawler, Fletchling, Pidgey, Fearow, Corviknight, Caterpie, Dustox, and Mareanie in Paldea? Or Emolga, Roggenrola, Trapinch, Skrelp, Finneon, Salamence, Haxorus, Slakoth, Salandit, and Magnezone in Galar?
