The rouge was stupid fun to write, and was something that had undergone like 7 different iterations in my head as I got closer to writing Daniel and Charles' time in the brothel (one of which involved a case of pecha berries and an on-foot pursuit.)
SF was a little, er, "academic" I guess you could call it? It was partly intentional given the subject matter, but I did get some feedback from a couple of readers telling me they needed their browsers ready to look stuff up.
The next chapter of ACPC should be up soonish? Hell, the whole work is nearing completion, which means I'll be able to start work on some very fun and probably pretty different things after, like Jewel of the Desert and Stolen Winds. Maybe I'll even finish Only Viridian.
