I could say that Nidorans are different species with different stats and moves, but GameFreak lumps in the regional variants into one dex entry so fuck me. I guess there is no reason to not have Nidoran consolidated other than they don't want the Kanto regional dex to read 150 instead of 151. But even that argument falls apart because the only regional dex you can find on the Switch is for HOME.
