It ended up paying off, because his one Pokemon was a Kadabra. I had led with Plum because he's GOATed, but will absolutely get fucked by Psychic moves. So I switched to Dragonseye. He took a Psybeam, losing about 40% of his HP, and then a critical Body Slam beat the lone Kadabra.
Honestly a pretty uneventful Lt. Surge fight lol
