Zekrom is the only one that doesn't look like total dogshit. The "Tao Trio" are by far the worst box legends the series has seen, conceptually, designwise and gameplay-wise. I hope someday they let a competent character designer create the Original Dragon so these pieces of dogshit can be redeemed.

Zoomers associate it with the death of the failed DS era. As the first non-rehash game since Gen 3, it left their comfort zone, daring to not only create a major new mechanic in Mega Evolution (gen 4 and 5 introduced no meaningful new mechanics), it gave them to the hated KANTOOOOO mons as well. Instead of simple tweened sprites that had barely been changed since Gen 3, 3D models were finally implemented, allowing full animation and interaction through Pokemon amie- a feature boomers loved, but zoomers deemed "soulless."

Simply it's another matter of DSbabies throwing a tantrum.

That's the funny thing, he does it for free in a way. TPC probably don't pay him directly, but as a Pokémon obsessed autist with no marketable skills (imagine Joe trying to apply for a web design job with fucking mess of Serrebi in his portfolio and nothing else) he's resigned to defending GF on Twitter consntantly. If the masses finally stopped giving a shit about Pokemon he'd stop getting clicks and stop getting ad revenue. He's locked in a copium cycle of defending GF's shit practices so more people keep playing Pokemon and keep going on his site. Ishihara and Masuda could probably scream the N-word 50 times and Joe would find a way to defend it.
