>Kanto: Massive mix of nostalgia and love for how down to earth the designs are. People love to shitpost about how a lot of them are "literally my mom's ____" but that is what I love about a lot of them. Besides all that the mix of science, pollution, and industrialization creates a lot of neat concepts and overarching themes.>Hoenn, I'm not quite sure how to describe my love of these creatures, there is no nostalgia, and I really struggle to find an encompassing theme I like. I can't quite describe it, they are just well designed in my eyes and I love them. The pallet is nice, even if the sprite work is sloppy, and they feel like creature who are capable of existing in the wild while maintaining elements of human civilization woven into there design. >Sinnoh Pokemon are busy and very detailed, despite that though they have a roughness that I enjoy while not being afraid to be whimsical and cute. The dex definitely has it's problems. Most of the (very) large amount of cross-gen evolution are inferior to their pre-evos. >Johto Pokemon are simple, but at the same time they nail the concepts that they are going for perfectly and manage to make perfectly appealing creatures that don't feel cluttered or force their concept down your throat. Honestly I tend to overlook Johto when thinking over Pokemon, but every-time I pull up the dex for these threads I'm struck by just how many of them are some of my absolute favorites. >Kalos has a ton of great lines, it's such a shame that most people over-look them because of the game they are in. Some of them are a tad bit cartoony, but as a whole I'd say it's a pretty respectable dex.
