I fuckin' love the Phox, man. It's one of the last really monstrous looking starters with digitigrade legs and a thick fluffy coat of fur with no overly clean lines or artificial-isms that I feel fuck with a lot of other designs. Fire/psychic typing and mage theme really appeals to my autism for smart magical pets that's at the core of why I like Pokémon so much. I like Braixen just as much for the same reasons, and it also has kind of an energetic/athletic vibe to it that I really like. The whole line would make kickass pets and companions.
The flaming stick wand gimmick is also underrated as fuck, even before the line grew on me I always thought it had the coolest battle animations (the idle animations were another story)
And yeah, fuck you, the feminine look is great. Girls are cute, foxes are cute, magic arsonist fox girls are even cuter.
