>>38955009Serious battles (antagonist/rival/gym) are more difficult. Expect better movesets and even better mons in some cases. There's also a level cap set by your badge amount (exp still accumulates and is used to level up once the cap is increased).
Grinding is easier. You can rematch common trainers with a cooldown of 6 hours (they scale with your badges), this is a good way. Even better: you can call hordes with sweet scent and blast these with AoE moves, this way you get a lot of exp and up to 10 EV per pop.
You can't trade your starter, it has a gift ribbon and average stats (can catch all the starter species in the wild later). But you can get another mon. Direct trading and mail is available from the start, GTL where you can buy/sell shit for pokeyen needs 4 badges.
