>>35696464another genwunner here, (and by genwunner i mean that I started on gen 1, not that its my fav)
back when I was like 10 years old, I did have red, but I was autistic of how badly everything was handled, stuff like barely any bug moves, barely any ghost, ice or dragon, no endgame, made me mad, yes I noticed these things because I was also playing FF5 on emulator at that time, which was also stealing all my attention.
every new generation with more pokemon, moves and gameplay changes, made me appreciate the series more, until the culmination of B/W2 where everything just fit into place, the ost was great, the mixture of old gen mons with the gen 5 mons, the world tournament, the highly-leveled endgame, everything just felt right.
I don't understand people who just stuck to gen-1, to me they just feel like hypocrites who don't want to see a series improve, like honestly there is a limit to how much you can enjoy charizard and arcanine, tastes change, and curiosity to try out new mons should be normal, not autistic.
